The Philosophy
KFM is a way of understanding, developing, expressing and transmitting knowledge. KFM is not an ‘Art of Arts’ nor is it a conglomerate of techniques extracted from different styles. Rather it is a way – a philosophy of life based on the growth of a person – with Martial Arts as transportation element that follows a philosophy based on knowledge, research and experimentation. KFM is then not a copy of this or that, nor is it a theoretical explanation of many different martial arts. On the contrary it is a perfectly planned and defined unity of concepts and principles, fruit of long, rigorous and tested introspection.
Learning, Constant Growth & Evolution
Human beings are the dominant species because of their ability to adapt and evolve. We need to continue to evolve and grow; it’s a process that is the consequence of our instinct as a species. The concept in the KFM is to be constantly active in the arena of learning. This is a place with no limits, a place where you can express the creativity of the mind into the physical form. This constant process of development, evaluation and adaptation are the keys of Keysi Fighting Method, and they make it a physical, technical and intellectual challenge.
Growth & Belief
The personal growth is based on belief. Belief is the path which guides the human being and leads to personal satisfaction; belief is not a goal, it’s a purpose, which leads to the highest level of fulfilment, to the most supreme condition a human being as such could aspire to. There are many ways of growth, as many are the different aspects of the human being. To be fulfilled means to be free inside. When you believe in yourself you know and you feel your growth, you can have control of your emotion in any moment, you feel the deep reality of all your abilities, especially the psychological and spiritual ones.
Self-Truth
KFM has created an environment within the family that is free-thinking. It provokes truths, self-truths, things you must find for yourself, constant problems and frustrations. This is what challenges us. Techniques are necessary, but only as a part of the process. Feeling is the essence of function, and functionality only arrives through self-truths. KFM is a family where the most important thing is the person, the human being, and our methodology is based upon the personal growth, so that each person will follow his/her own development. KFM keeps the keys, which perhaps you have lost, that can open the door to your path and help you find yourself. The saying ‘the inner knowledge is the main source of wisdom’ will never die.
